The purpose of this course is to provide an in-depth study of Sacred Scripture, with an introduction to the basic principles for understanding and interpreting the Bible. The text begins by helping the young people to deepen their understanding of Divine Revelation, inspiration and the senses of Scripture which were first explored in Core Course I: God's Word Revealed in Sacred Scripture. It goes on to explore each book in the Old and New Testaments from the perspectives of historical and political context, literary genre and content.
